Confidant Moves to Brooklyn Heights with Expanded Menu and Neighboring Bakery Plans
Confidant, helmed by chefs Brendan Kelley and Daniel Grossman, is set to relocate from its current location to 127 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights, occupying the recently closed Colonie space. The new location will debut on February 4, 2026, marking a strategic neighborhood repositioning for the restaurant.
The move comes with an expanded menu offering, though specific details on the changes have not been fully disclosed. Pastry chef Mariah Neston, formerly of Le Rock, remains part of the team, maintaining continuity in the restaurant’s dessert program.
Adjacent Bakery and Wine Bar Planned
In addition to Confidant’s relocation, the team is developing Lou & Bev’s, an all-day bakery and pizza restaurant accompanied by a wine bar. This venue will open at 129 Atlantic Avenue, neighboring Confidant, and is anticipated to begin operations in spring 2026.
Both projects represent a deliberate repositioning within the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood rather than a broad expansion. Reporting on these plans was originally covered by Eater NY.
