Luis Ramirez has been named executive chef at The Copper Kettle, a casual American restaurant in the Upper East Side. Ramirez previously worked at several notable New York kitchens, including Blue Hill and Gramercy Tavern.

At The Copper Kettle, Ramirez plans to emphasize seasonal ingredients and classic preparations with a modern twist. His first menu revisions are expected to debut in early May. The restaurant has been operating at its current location for over a decade.

The appointment follows the recent departure of former chef Sarah Kim, who left to pursue a project in California. Ramirez’s arrival signals a potential shift toward more locally sourced produce.
