NYC Restaurant Voice has just launched 265 neighborhood phone directories — one for each viable cuisine × neighborhood combination across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.

Every directory:

  • Lists 8–30 verified restaurants in that cuisine + neighborhood
  • Shows current NYC Health Department Grade A rating only
  • Has click-to-call phone numbers (works on mobile)
  • Has click-to-map addresses (opens Google Maps)
  • Auto-updates from official NYC DOHMH inspection records
  • Includes Restaurant + ItemList Schema.org markup for Google rich results

Why we built it

Most “best-of” lists online are paywalled, ad-stuffed, or out of date. We wanted a directory that’s fast, accurate, mobile-first, and free — something you can pull up on your phone when you’re on the move and need to call a place to confirm hours or make a reservation.

The data comes from the same DOHMH inspection records our newsroom uses to track openings, closings, and grade changes. Every directory reflects current health-department status as of the most recent inspection cycle.

How to use it

Open any directory page on your phone. Scroll the cards. Tap the green “📞 Call” button to dial directly — no copy-paste, no manual dialing. Tap any address to open in Google Maps for directions.

Are you a restaurant owner?

If your restaurant appears in one of the directories and you’d like featured placement (logo, photos, hours, menu link, reservation button), see our Get Featured program. Verified restaurants get top-of-list placement.

Looking for our editorial dining guides? See the happy hour guides, brunch picks, and best-of lists — we’ll be cross-linking these to the phone directories so you can call ahead from any guide.
