Pizza Studio Tamaki, a pizzeria known for its Tokyo-style pies, is set to open a permanent location in New York City. The restaurant will begin service on Tuesday, May 5, at 123 St. Marks Place, near Avenue A in the East Village.

Chef Tsubasa Tamaki, who leads the operation, previously offered a brief preview of the Manhattan spot with a two-day pop-up. The permanent opening follows this teaser event. Reservations are currently available through the Seven Rooms platform.

Pizza Studio Tamaki is recognized in Tokyo for its approach to pizza that blends traditional techniques with local influences. The New York outpost marks the brand’s first permanent presence outside Japan.

The East Village location adds to the neighborhood’s eclectic dining scene, which includes a range of pizza styles from classic New York slices to artisanal offerings. It remains to be seen how the Tokyo style will fit within this diverse landscape.

Pizza Studio Tamaki’s arrival reflects a continued interest in international pizza concepts entering the New York market. Observers will watch closely to see how the restaurant adapts its menu and service to local tastes and expectations.
