Restaurant Critic
Write in-depth reviews of new and established restaurants across the 5 boroughs. 2+ years reviewing experience required.
Food Reporter
Cover openings, closings, chef profiles, and the NYC food industry. Strong news instincts essential.
Neighborhood Correspondent
Embedded reporters covering the culinary scenes of specific neighborhoods (Flushing, Astoria, Harlem, etc.).
Freelance Contributor
Story-by-story contributors for recipes, food history, and cultural food essays. Open submissions welcome.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong writing skills and a command of journalistic standards (AP Style preferred)
- Knowledge of New York City — its neighborhoods, institutions, and communities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- A portfolio of published work (clips from any platform accepted)
- Enthusiasm for digital storytelling and social media
- Multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
